Fund your club's new website with a community grant.
Several Australian grant programs fund club website projects. We'll give you a formal quote for your application, wording to start from, and the dates that matter. Free, and with no obligation.
Check the programs below and your council's community grants. Read the guidelines for what they fund.
Step 2
Get our quote
Request a formal PDF quote with our ABN and GST shown. It's valid for 90 days.
Step 3
Apply first
Submit your application before you buy anything. Most grants won't fund purchases made before you apply.
Step 4
Approved? We build it
Tell us and we'll set up your site at the quoted prices. Not approved? No cost to you.
Good to know before you apply
Grant approval is decided by the funder. We can help you apply but can't promise an outcome.
Some programs fund one-off costs only, not yearly subscriptions. Our quote keeps the first-year plan on its own line so you can leave it out.
Many programs have a minimum grant (often $2,000 or more). Clubs commonly combine a website with other items they need into one project.
Grants that can fit a club website
Programs we've checked for website projects. Rounds and rules change every year, so always read the current guidelines before you apply.
Stronger Communities Programme (Round 10)
Website projects named
Australian Government, through your local federal MP
Amount:
$2,500 to $20,000
Dates:
Your MP nominates local projects by 30 November 2026; invited organisations apply by 19 January 2027. Many MP offices set an earlier deadline for expressions of interest.
Round 9 listed creating or upgrading a website as an eligible project, and subscriptions can be funded within the project period. Contact your federal MP's office first: only nominated organisations can apply.
The 2026/27 round closed on 24 August 2026 (outcomes expected December 2026). Rounds usually open mid-year.
The guidelines give "developing or upgrading a club website" as an example project. Yearly subscriptions are not funded, so leave the year-one plan out of your grant budget.
Round 2 opens 18 February 2027 and closes 1 April 2027.
The Governance and Engagement category supports club sustainability. Websites are not named in the guidelines, so check with Sport and Recreation Victoria (1800 325 206) before applying.
Australian Government, through your local federal MP
Amount:
$1,000 to $5,000
Dates:
Expressions of interest go to your federal MP early in the year; the next round is expected in 2027.
Funds items that support volunteers, including software used for online communication. Websites are not named, so check the round's guidelines and ask your MP's office.
Most councils run one or two rounds a year; some are open all year.
Many councils fund club development projects, and some fund club admin software. Search your council's website for "community grants" and call the sport and recreation officer: they can tell you if a website project fits.

Application wording to start from
7 common grant questions with a starting answer. Open one to read it, or copy it straight away. Replace everything in [brackets] and add your own local detail: assessors notice when several clubs send the same text.
Keep it plain. Assessors prefer a clear title to a clever one.
A new website and online registration system for [Club name]
Say what you will buy and what changes for members. Mention your current site honestly.
[Club name] will replace its [outdated website / Facebook-only presence] with a managed club website built on ClubKit. The project covers setting up the site with our club's branding, bringing our existing club information, news, documents and sponsors across, building online registration forms for the [year] season, and training our committee to run the site themselves. The site will give our [number] members and their families one place for news, fixtures, registrations and club policies.
Describe the problem in your own words, with a number if you have one.
Our current website [was built in year / can only be updated by one volunteer / has broken registration links], so families rely on [Facebook posts / emails / word of mouth] for fixtures, wash-out notices and registration details. Our volunteers spend about [hours] hours each season [answering the same questions / handling paper registrations / chasing renewals]. A website the whole committee can update will save volunteer time and keep information current.
Funders worry about projects that depend on one person. This answers that.
Committee members can update the site directly on the page, with no technical skills, and an in-app help centre covers each task step by step. The club adds and removes its own admin, editor and viewer accounts when office-bearers change, and every admin change is logged. As part of the project our committee receives two live training sessions and a written handover guide.
Link the website to participation, inclusion and safety for your members.
Families will be able to register and pay online, check fixtures and ladders on their phones, subscribe to the club calendar for their team, and find club policies and codes of conduct in one place. Alert banners let us tell everyone quickly about wash-outs, ground closures and urgent notices. Members can choose to receive club newsletters, and every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link.
Show the club can afford year two and beyond.
After the first year the ClubKit plan costs $455 a year (GST inclusive). The club will meet this from membership fees: about $[amount] per registered member each year. Registration payments go straight to the club's own Stripe account and ClubKit takes no cut of them.
Pick two or three things you can actually count.
The new site will be live by [date]. By the end of the [year] season we expect [percentage]% of registrations to be made online, [number] members subscribed to club news, and fewer volunteer hours spent on registration admin (currently about [hours] hours a season).

Questions
Often, yes. Some programs name website projects as eligible, such as the NSW Local Sport Grant Program ("developing or upgrading a club website") and the federal Stronger Communities Programme. Every program has its own rules and approval is never guaranteed, so check the guidelines for the grant you apply for. Uplink Sites provides a free quote and application wording to help.
No. Almost every grant program refuses to fund purchases made before the application is submitted. Get a quote, apply, and sign up once your grant is approved. Your quoted prices are held until your funder's project completion date.
It depends on the program. Some grants fund one-off costs only and exclude yearly subscriptions (the NSW Local Sport Grant Program does). That is why the ClubKit quote shows the $455 first-year plan as its own line, so you can leave it out of your grant budget if your program doesn't fund it.
Many clubs combine a website with other items they need, such as a PA system or umpire equipment, into one project. Put the ClubKit quote alongside quotes for the other items. Please don't ask us to inflate a quote: assessors check value for money.
We give you wording to start from and a formal quote, free. The application itself comes from your club, in your own words, with your local details. Grant programs generally don't fund application writing.
An optional one-off service ($1,490, GST inclusive) available to every club. We bring your existing club information, news, documents and sponsors across from your old website, set up your season's registration forms, teams and fixtures, and train your committee with two live sessions and a handover guide.
